Outside my window...
It was a beautiful day outside. I wish I had spent more time outside.
I am thinking...
How nice it is that I do not have my alarm clock set for tomorrow. I also do not have a child home this evening as she is having a sleep over.
I am thankful...
for that mom who said yes to the sleepover, so Ursula could have friend time and I could eat Red Velvet ice cream in peace.
In the kitchen...
My menu is planned for the week, and I hope to get most of it cooked tomorrow. I am all about using squash this week. I have a spaghetti squash and a butternut squash. I am making a butternut squash risotto, kale and butternut quesadillas, spaghetti squash with a tomato sauce, chicken alfredo lasagna rolls and breakfast sandwiches.
I am wearing...
flannel pj pants, a youth ministry t-shirt and socks
I am creating...
time in my life for me.
I am going...
to get the web site updated at the office, work on the pathway I am building in the back yard and play cards with Ursula.
I am wondering...
If I add oreos to my red velvet ice cream, is that a bad thing?
Why Nobody Learns Much Of Anything At Church is on my school reading list right now. My friends have been reading Daring Greatly and love it, so I downloaded it and have it waiting for some free time to read.
I am hoping...
to be able to do some work on in the yard this week.
I am looking forward to...
sleeping in on Monday, watching history take place during the inauguration and meeting with a friend and her new baby.
I am learning...
that I love schedules.
Around the house...
I scrubbed the kitchen in preparation of my cooking extravaganza tomorrow. It looks good.
I am pondering...
Psalm 3:3-4. "But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my Glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and He answers me from His holy mountain."
A favorite quote for today...
"All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them." Galilei
One of my favorite things...
scouring Pinterest for recipes.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
one meeting tomorrow, lots of office prep work, visiting my assistant and her new baby, and birthdays at the end of the week for my brother and sister-in-law!
A peek into my day...
This is what my new pathway will sort of look like when it is done. I am going to lay the cement this week and stick the tiles on for good. The tiles are some I up cycled from the tile store they were throwing away!
