Welcome to Slow Cooking Thursdays. Your (mostly) weekly insight into Molly's rather whack life of momming, reality tv, ministry and pretending to be a real chef.
Song In My Head:
Ursula Story of the Week
I win Worst Mom of the Year Award this week. After Ursula found out that her coach quit she started being a huge brat and really pushing my buttons. It wasn't until after I lost it that I realized it was yet another adult woman she trusted that walked out on her. I was being tested, and flunked. We have been working through it the rest of the week.
I am procrastinating about:
Finishing the kitchen. I am only doing it sporadically. I need to buckle down this weekend.
Scripture I am trying to wrap my head (and heart) around:
What has happened this week so far:
After a crazy Sunday and working for 26 hours Monday was a veg out day. We found out Tuesday that Ursula's dance coach was quitting and have been dealing with that the rest of the week. Between working and getting Ursula places, there has been no downtime.
What's up for the weekend:
Looking forward to just hanging around the house this weekend. hopefully on Friday I am going to get all my errands done so Saturday can be painting cabinet doors. Sunday is going to be church all day, as we have the services, then the elementary youth group and then junior and senior high youth.

Song In My Head:
After going to see "Joyful Noise" last week in the theater, Urs and I downloaded the soundtrack I love this song, "Fix Me, Jesus" by Queen Latifah.

James1:2-3
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
Favorite reality TV minute this week
Top Chef is getting good. Money on Paul to go all the way. I was not happy to see Nyesha lose to Beverly in the Redemption Island duel. American Idol started, but I forgot to hit my tivo, so I got nothing there.
On the Culinary Front
The kitchen is a general state of disrepair as the updating painting and cabinet work continues. Project "Eat Healthy" is going well, as Ursula and I both have been doing well. It really helps that as soon as we get home form the grocery we put all the fruit and veggies into snack backs to grab and go.
